The problem of teenagers breaking court-imposed curfews and then being charged with committing violent crimes has Halifax police calling for changes to the Youth Criminal Justice Act to put more emphasis on protection of the public. Deputy Chief Chris McNeil said Tuesday that the force just doesn't have the resources to monitor all the teenagers subject to a curfew.
